Your Girl Blogger On the Lam

Yours truly is pretending to be a jet-setter for a few days, so sit tight while we try not to cause trouble in a (slightly) warmer climate.

If you're in town this weekend, check out the D.C. Big Flea Market this weekend at the Dulles Expo Center. The show looks to be low on clothing, but high on antiques and collectibles and maybe a little vintage jewelry.

The Washington Antiques Show is also this weekend, for an extra dose of nostalgia.

(Someone grew up without cable television and spent a lot of time watching Antiques Roadshow...guess who?)

I leave you here in the DMV with my latest find, a houndstooth vest with faux fur hood that I'm loving in these frigid temps.

Look: Hipster kid vs. lumberjack
Label: BB Dakota
Likewise: Jeans and boots (Uggs and "fuggs" especially) round out the outdoorsy feel, even if you're staying inside.

I love Antiques Roadshow! My parents boycotted cable for a good 3 years and I had nothing else to watch. I did learn a kick-ass British accent from watching "Are You Being Served?" on PBS :)
